Clerkhand

Privacy policy

Effective October 11, 2026

This policy explains what data Clerkhand, operated by Seif Miehiar ("we", "us"), collects when you connect a QuickBooks Online company, and how we use and protect it.

What we collect

With your authorization through Intuit's sign-in, we read accounting data from the connected QuickBooks Online company. This includes company information, the chart of accounts, transactions, vendors, customers, attachments and financial reports. We never see or store your QuickBooks password.

How we use it

Only to provide the service: to understand how your books are kept, to categorize transactions, and to prepare items for your review. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who processes it

We use an AI model provider (Anthropic) as a service provider to analyze transaction data on our behalf. Service providers may use the data only to perform that work for us.

Your company's data is never shown to other customers. We may derive anonymized, aggregated patterns that identify no customer, such as which account category a well-known public merchant's charges usually belong to, and use them to improve the service for everyone.

Storage and security

Access credentials issued by Intuit are stored separately from the application code and are never published. Access to our systems is limited to the operator of the service.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your company is connected. If you disconnect or ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Your choices

You can disconnect Clerkhand at any time from within QuickBooks Online or by contacting us, and you can ask us what data we hold about your company.
